insurance claims process

With years of experience and a working relationship with many insurance carriers, DFW Roofing is qualified and available to assist any home or building owner with insurance claims.
DFW Roofing is just that, a roofing and gutter company. We have honed our skills in this industry and stick to what we know. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our company.
Insurance Claim Process- We will inspect your roof to determine if there is enough damage to warrant filing a claim with your insurance company. If there is damage, we will assist you on filing the claim and then meeting your insurance adjuster to point out the areas on the roof that were damaged by hail or wind. Once the claim has been awarded, we will go over each line item on the claim to explain what was awarded, how much was paid, and what needs to be replaced. We will also explain the difference between ACV (actual cash value) and RCV (recoverable cash value). Once we have agreed to the scope of work and contract price, we will set a date to start the work. We will handle all paperwork, invoices, and supplement estimates with your insurance provider.

- After damage has been verified, contact your agent.
- You should be contacted by the claims department by telephone or mail.
- An adjuster will be assigned to inspect and evaluate the loss.
- The claims adjustor should provide you with an itemized explanation on your claim settlement including your deductible amount and depreciation.
- Most homeowner policies grant coverage for full replacement cost provided the repairs are actually completed. In these cases, the depreciation is deemed recoverable and the final payment is made after your receipts have been submitted and processed.
